Autism Walk FAQ Guide

Will a virtual walk still be fun?

Yes!  The benefit of a Virtual Autism walk is that you can really walk wherever you are! Folks can join us from all parts of the Northwest Ohio community, along with family and friends in other parts of the country. It fits the saying this year with COVID “APART BUT TOGETHER”. It kind of brings light to the situation at hand and hopefully, helps a lot of people to participate wherever they might be.

Please continue to create walk teams with friends and family. While we are not meeting in person, we would love to see you walking with your walk T-shirt on. We will share those pictures on our social media pages. Walk t-shirts will be mailed out the week of August 24th.
Don’t forget to submit your artwork by July 31 to be considered to be this year’s T-shirt contest.
We look forward to seeing everyone having fun and making this fun and personal to you!
Keep an eye out for emails about ideas to make this an amazing experience.

What if I am out of town on August 30th or live in a different area?

Each year, we have people gather at the Franklin Park Mall to advocate for and celebrate their loved ones with autism at our annual Autism Society of Northwest Ohio Autism walk. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to make the tough decision to move the event virtual.

Does everyone have to register to participate?
Yes, a registration form must be completed for each participant. You can register on our walk website by clicking here, by mail, or in our office.
