The information below was compiled by the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities on current grant opportunities and information:  through the SuzaAne Tyner Autism Fund they assisting families with the unimaginable expenses of raising a child with autism. (September 1) offers three types of grants to individuals who reside in Ohio and have a disability. (June 30)  provides Jiobit tracking devices with two years of pre-paid service and accessories to families with loved ones on the Autism Spectrum.  monetary assistance of up to $1000 directly to families with children that have special healthcare needs in Ohio. (July 31)  designed for outside experiences to enrich the life of the individual diagnosed with a disability, not for everyday medical expenses. Open to residents of Hancock and surrounding counties. (August 31)  help children with speech and/or language disorders take the steps needed to be better communicators. (August 1)  empowers children and young adults with speech disorders to effectively communicate through technology and speech therapy. (August 1)
