Autism Walk FAQ Guide

What if I am out of town on the day of the walk or live in a different area?

Each year, we have people gather at the Franklin Park Mall to advocate for and celebrate their loved ones with Autism at our annual Autism Society of Northwest Ohio Autism walk. No matter where you live we welcome you to participate in this event.

If you are unable to attend the day of the event, you can get involved other ways such as sponsoring, donating, or volunteering for walk prep tasks!

Does everyone have to register to participate?
Yes, a registration form must be completed for each participant. You can register on our walk website by clicking the “sign up now” button on our Autism Walk page, by mail to the address below, or in our office.

Mail to:

What if I miss the  pre-registration deadline?
That’s ok!  You can still register through day of the walk.  However, you may not be guaranteed a walk shirt.

What if I want to volunteer for the event?
The success of the Autism Walk is dependent on the dedication and commitment of our volunteers.  This is your chance to make a real difference. To Volunteer, email executivedirector@asno.org.  Opportunities to volunteer include:

  • Virtual Prep: Help us prepare to send out t-shirts for all of our participants
  • Raffle: Organize the raffle items, encourage people to purchase tickets, deliver raffle items once the drawing is done.

What do I do with offline donations such as checks and cash?
If you have check or cash donations we will accept them by mail, or in our office.

Do I get an official event shirt?
