Autism Awareness Events

The Autism Society of Northwest Ohio is excited to celebrate National Autism Awareness Month.  PARTICIPATE in an event, ADVOCATE or DONATE to help us provide support, education, and advocacy to individuals, parents, family members, and professionals affected by autism across the lifespan and the entire autism spectrum in 12 counties in Northwest Ohio.

Sunday, April 8 – at 2:00 pm – 2nd Annual Autism Awareness Hockey Game     TOLEDO JEEP HOCKEY CLUB vs TOLEDO POLICE – $5 DONATION – ALL proceeds benefit Autism Society – Tam-O-Shanter, Rink 1, 7060 West Sylvania Ave.

Thursday, April 19 – from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm – S.A.L.S.A. Presents Pathways through Autism – North Central Ohio ECS – 928 W. Market Street, Tiffin. Keynote Speaker: Tyler Aldrich.  Sessions include: Understanding and Writing an IEPKeeping Everyone Safe in the CommunityHow Public Schools Develop Systems to Support ALL Learners with Autism; and Visual Suppors.  For more information contact Sandy Hallet (S.A.L.S.A/Parent Mentor) at 419-618-0687 or shallet@ncoesc.org

Saturday, April 21 – from 10 am – 1 pm – Ottawa County Family Fun Fair – Bataan Memorial Elementary in Port Clinton – Event is free and includes activities for children, a photo cube booth, information on services for families and free food (designed for children 0 – 8 years old).

Saturday, April 28 – from 10 am – 1 pm – 5th Annual Hench Autism Studies Program Community Outreach Event – Defiance College, Serrick Campus Center  Event is FREE.

Sunday, April 8 & April 22 – from 11 am – 12 pm – Special Friends Jump at Sky Zone  $8 per jumper – one free chaperone – music is turned off  and less distractions.

Tuesday, May 1 – from 4 pm – 8 pm Autism Society Spirit Night at Sky Zone       Special Pricing includes 120 minutes for $15 – pizza meals $5.  Proceeds benefit Autism Society of Northwest Ohio (please note this is NOT a Special Friends Jump). 

Sunday, October 7, 2018 – 6th Annual AUTISM WALK of Northwest Ohio at the Franklin Park Mall. Register today for the premier Autism Awareness event in Northwest Ohio.  ALL proceeds from the event will help us continue to provide support, education, and advocacy to in 12 counties in Northwest Ohio.  Click HERE to register online and/or start a fundraising page today.
