This group is for more independent 20 and 30 something adults with ASD. Adults with ASD may also attend with parents or staff.
Parents are needed to help chaperon these activities. Please contact the office if you can help.
Cruise up the Maumee River and view stately homes, yacht clubs and wildlife. Catch a sunset around Walbridge Park, return to downtown after dark, and experience the city lights shimmering on the water. Snacks included with fee, but you are welcome to bring extra food or drinks. Cruise will happen “Rain or Shine.”
Date: Sunday, September 10, 2017
Time: Mary Hoye will be there by 6:30. Boarding is 6:45 and the boat leaves at 7 pm sharp. They do not hold the boat for anyone. Cruise runs from 7 to 9 pm.
Cruise departs from and returns to Jefferson Street Dock in Promenade Park, in Downtown Toledo.
For TARPS and GPS purposes, the best street address is 1 Jefferson Avenue, Toledo, OH.
There is a parking lot nearby.

We will be running a game night at the new Dragon’s Roost in Sylvania for the adult social group. Margarette Webster will be hosting the evening and she has chosen games which she thinks will be a good introduction to alternative games. Below is the descriptions of the games. However, everyone is welcomed to bring their favorite game.
Dragon’s Roost has coffee, tea, drinks, and pastries for sale for prices ranging from $2.00 – $6.50 depending on what drink you order and size. They have pastries from donuts to brownies and they are offering a new item called a Dragon’s Egg. It is filled with one of three flavors: Asiago, Cheese & Spinach, or Cheese Pizza.

There will be a Halloween-themed dance with optional costumes for our Social Group for 20 and 30 something adults with ASD and other friends interested in having a great time. Dinner at 6 pm. Pizza and bring a dessert or snack to pass. DJ and dancing 7 – 10 pm. You are encouraged to dress up (optional) and there will be prizes for costumes in these categories: 1. Most Original 2. Scariest 3. Funniest 4. Most Traditional and 5. Best of Show Overall

Coming from Holland -Sylvania Rd. off of Perrysburg-Holland Rd. It Is .6 mile. Turn right at the South Entrance.
Coming from Airport Highway by ST. John’s High School heading south on Holland-Sylvania Rd. it will be .4 mile to the South Entrance which will be on your left side. You will see the building (beige) from the road.
The entrance is on a lit green sign at a major curve. As soon as you turn in you will take an immediate right and follow to parking behind the building. You may want to give these directions to your driver. It is dark and difficult to find.
Cost: $12.00 at the door/$5 for parents or staff who want to eat. Parents, please donate a dessert if you can.
